That did it for me and I haven’t encountered the issue since. Then, because it was already part of Looksmenu, I deactivated it. He linked an older version which I downloaded to overwrite any file from the latest version (that might still be left behind). A player stated that TH Brows’ latest version/plugin had been causing it. I read around and found a post in a Nexus mod, someone also had the brown face issue. When I had TH Brows, save/reload helped fix it.īut it happened fairly frequently - character sleeping, character using workshop, sometimes while just loading to a new area. According to some sources who already encountered and fixed this problem, closing and relaunching the Fallout 4 game resolves the dark face bug. It has TH Brows already built in -MINUS- the dark/brown face bug that it causes. If you do, disable it and get Looksmenu + Looksmenu compendium. Check to see if you have it as it's known to cause this issue.

You mentioned that you were using Valkyr face texture which, IIRC, had TH Brows as a requirement (or if not, you might've downloaded it). It's either the high res texture pack, or another mod.
